Huntington Lake Shoes

I was commissioned to paint a pair of shoes for a family friend.  Every year a large group of us go camping at Huntington Lake, California (a previous illustration I did of this amazing place).  She wanted one shoe to represent a calm morning kayak trip, and the other shoe to show sailing, later in the day when the wind picks up.  On the kayak shoe, I added a detail of a bald eagle flying away with a fish, an event that she witnessed one year.

I love painting shoes!  Im really happy with how these turned out!! :)
